The ceraCRYPT marker responds to miniature harmless proprietary IR-LED optical devices that resemble remote controls. These devices are very sensitive to the presence of miniscule amounts of marker on the surface of the tested objects. The miniature detector is brought to the face of the product with its activation button pressed.

The detector will sense the marker in the product and signal by lighting up a variable indicator color and sounding a beep. If the marker is not found, a red indicator stays on, and the device is silent. The detector could even sense the marker hidden underneath thin wood, carton, or plastic packaging. The authentication procedure is simple and quick.
